We were happy to assist the Clara White Mission help fulfill their goal of providing “food for today… skills for life” to those in need. Meridian Waste always aims to help the communities in which we operate in whatever way we can.
On Friday, May 31st, Meridian Waste Virginia (Petersburg Hauling) was honored to receive FOLAR’s Business and Industry Award for the Company’s support of the organization over the last 24 years!
Springfest’s purpose is to provide a family-friendly environment to allow neighbors and community members to visit the disposal facility, learn how waste is properly managed to protect the natural environment, and have fun.
The foursome headed by Area President Dave Shepler didn’t bring home the winning trophy but a great time was had by all while raising funds for the Boys & Girls Club’s.
Meridian Waste Florida residential customers and supers fans visit the team at our truck maintenance shop in Jacksonville. Lucas (8 years old) and Griffin (3 years old) with Grandad Robert and Mom Kaitlyn pose in front of one of Meridian Waste’s shiny yard waste collection trucks. The boys eagerly await each Meridian Waste collection day to wave at the drivers & helpers and receive a horn blast in return!
Meridian Waste - Triad Hauling and the Tri-Corners-Corners Landfill participated as a Bronze Sponsor in the VFW of Alamance County’s annual fundraising golf tournament the first weekend of June.
Mary O’Brien, Meridian Waste’s Chief Marketing Officer, served up hundreds of hot meals along with other local business and non-profit leaders to a portion of Jacksonville‘s homeless population in celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Clara White Mission’s Miracle on Ashley Street. Meridian Waste participated as a sponsor and the company’s donated trash containers were a much needed asset to help clean up lunch!
Meridian Waste partnered with North Carolina Developer & Construction Firm, Samet Corporation, for their annual Safety Lunch hosted at Claxton Elementary School in Greensboro, NC as part of Samet’s Safety week celebration.
Meridian Waste, an ongoing partner with the City of agreed, SC, rolled up the sleeves of management & supervisors to invest extra muscle and effort to ensure compliant recycling on the City’s annual Recycle Day.
Meridian Waste was selected to receive the 2024 FOLAR Outstanding Comunity Service BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY award from the Friends of Lower Appomattox River.
