Anniston, AL (April 24, 2025) – Meridian Waste joined White Plains Elementary’s Touch-A-Truck event, engaging students with a front-load “trash-eating” truck and sharing lessons in environmental stewardship.
Virginia Tech’s student-led community event, The Big Event, extends its gratitude to Meridian Waste for supporting nearly 900 service projects across the New River Valley, helping thousands of volunteers make the nation’s second-largest event of its kind a continued success.

Sumter County, AL (March 19, 2205) – Meridian Waste Mississippi, LLC, an integrated, non-hazardous solid waste services company, is proud to be Sumter County, AL’s new environmental services provider starting Monday, March 31st. Leading up the contract start, Meridian Waste is distributing one new 95-gallon garbage cart to all non-incorporated Sumter County, AL residents beginning on March 17th through the end of the month.

The Spring weather brings many wonderful things to the Triad region including plans for this year’s 2nd annual Tri-Corner Landfill’s Fishing Rodeo! The event this year will take place on Saturday, May 17th from 9am - 1pm.
How long does it take for a crowd of eager kids to find 2,015 hidden Easter eggs? At Meridian Waste’s 3rd Annual Big, Bright Earth Day Party & Easter Egg Hunt, it took just 110 seconds— and not a single egg was left behind!
Lunenburg, VA (April 14, 2025) – Meridian Waste Virginia LLC has donated $50,000 to five Lunenburg County organizations, each receiving $10,000 to support essential services spanning food security, healthcare, senior programs, and recreation. The company also announced plans to increase its annual community investment to $75,000 in fiscal year 2025, reinforcing its commitment to the social and environmental well-being of the communities it serves.
Meridian Waste has demonstrated the effectiveness of drone technology by using drones to speed up the temporary closure of a disposal cell at its Noble Hill Landfill, achieving a 50% faster seeding rate while reducing costs and environmental impact.
The Foristell (MO) MSW Transfer Station completed a $300,000 upgrade, including floor fortification, push wall reconstruction, and repairs to siding and doors, enhancing operational efficiency and aesthetics while the facility was closed for five days in March.
