Meridian Waste Reopens Huntsville C&D Transfer Station

Meridian Waste Alabama, LLC is reopening its Huntsville Construction & Demolition (C&D) Transfer Station at 4583 Pryor Road in Madison, AL, on Monday, June 23 at 7:00 a.m. CDT. Closed since a fire in November 2024, the fully rebuilt facility now features improved traffic flow, safer entry and exit points, and enhanced on-site safety measures. The site accepts only C&D materials such as concrete, wood, metal, and drywall, and operates Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For more information, visit MeridianWaste.com/AL or call 866-440-3983.

Meridian Waste’s Blue Ridge Hauling Division in Christiansburg, VA, hosted a successful Customer Appreciation Day to thank its community. Held on June 10, 2025, the event featured prize drawings with gift baskets, coolers, and gift cards. Customers enjoyed refreshments, giveaways, and personal interactions with the Meridian Waste team. The event emphasized gratitude, community connection, and the company's ongoing commitment to excellent service.

 

Meridian Waste’s Raleigh Team Helps Drive Success at 2025 VFW Golf Tournament

Meridian Waste’s Raleigh team played a key role in the success of the 2025 VFW Golf Tournament, an event that blended fun with fundraising to support veterans' missions through 2026. Held at The Valley Golf Club, the tournament featured improved amenities, a dedicated volunteer team, and strong sponsor support. Meridian Waste stood out as a committed community partner, reinforcing its dedication to veterans and local engagement. Highlights included a patriotic performance of the national anthem and a group photo capturing a diverse cross-section of American life. Plans are already underway for the 2026 tournament.

Zaira's vibrant and inspiring artwork captured a powerful message of environmental stewardship and showcased the creativity of our next generation of planet protectors.

Ayla Wins Second Place in Meridian Waste's Nationwide Coloring Contest!

Ayla, a talented young artist from our community, proudly won second place in her age category in a nationwide coloring contest. She received her award from Chief Marketing Officer Mary O'Brien on May 30, 2025, with her vibrant, imaginative artwork earning well-deserved recognition.

Hooked on Fun: Tri- Corner Landfill's Fishing Rodeo Reels in Small and Big and catches!

Meridian Waste North Carolina hosted its second annual Fishing Rodeo at Tri-Corner Landfill in Alamance County, drawing over 400 community members for a day of fun, fishing, and giving back. Kids competed for prizes while supporting E.M. Holt Elementary’s Backpack Program, and the event featured games, bounce houses, a mechanical bull, and raffle giveaways — proving landfills can be both exciting and meaningful.
