Keep America Beautiful®, the nation’s leading community improvement for-impact organization, has announced the summary of its 2020 study on litter in America.
Key findings include:
Leachate tank construction at Lunenburg Landfill. The tanks are expected to be completed and operational by the end of May.
Meridian Waste, an integrated announced today it closed on the purchase of Eco Waste Services, Inc., in the greater Greenville, S.C., marketplace.
The acquired assets from Eco Waste Services include a hauling facility located at 512 Hood Rd. in Powdersville, S.C., and commercial contracts in Anderson, Cherokee, Laurens, Greenville, Oconee, Pickens, and Spartanburg counties. In addition to waste and recycling collection, the acquisition includes new construction site service lines of business for Meridian Waste with portable restrooms, temporary fencing, portable storage, and portable offices.

The Touch-A-Truck event for East Wake Education Foundation at Shotwell Landfill. Families and students were welcomed to Shotwell C&D Landfill for a Touch-A-Truck event.
An American Bald Eagle was spotted atop Eagle Ridge Landfill in Bowling Green, Mo.
And the "Brightening the World" Coloring Contest Winners Are...In the category of age five to seven: Siddharth Pradeep of Princeton, N.J.And in the category of eight to 10: Lily Behe of Webster, N.Y.

Families and students are invited to participate in the free event located in the field. Various types of vehicles used in the environmental services industry will be in place and attendees can touch, tour, and view a variety of activities their favorite “Trash Man” does every day to keep local communities clean and green.
