In a vibrant display of community spirit, volunteers came together to support the Central Chargers Volleyball team by selling candy donated by Meridian Waste to raise funds for new uniforms. At the Southeast Lauderdale Elementary community event on September 25, 2025, Meridian Waste engaged students with its interactive “Trash Cart Little Pitch,” teaching kids about waste management through hands-on activities like recycling games and trash cart demonstrations. Site Manager Craig Boswell highlighted the essential role of sanitation workers, making the experience both educational and fun while promoting community awareness and appreciation for vital public services.

Meridian Waste participated in the SWANA Region 6 Conference in Chattanooga, where they engaged with industry leaders, local officials, and community members to share their innovative waste management solutions and sustainability initiatives. The event provided a valuable platform for the company to expand its network and emphasize its commitment to environmental responsibility. The Missouri Waste Control Coalition (MWCC) recently wrapped up its successful 2025 Environmental Conference in Kansas City, focusing on critical issues like waste management, recycling, and sustainability. Meridian Waste was a key participant, contributing to discussions and sessions that provided valuable insights into the environmental services industry. Looking ahead, the MWCC plans to hold its 2026 conference at Lake Ozark's Margaritaville Resort, aiming to further enhance its impact and partnerships in the field.

During National Truck Driver Appreciation Week (NTDAW), Ali Freeman, a Sales Representative from Meridian Waste – Goldston (NC) Hauling, went above and beyond by cooking homemade meals and treating our drivers to lunch, showing genuine appreciation for their hard work. Her thoughtful gestures created a warm, welcoming atmosphere and set a new standard for celebrating our drivers in the future. We’re grateful for Ali’s leadership and for making sure our drivers feel valued and respected.

Meridian Waste Alabama, LLC is proud to support the annual Attalla Heritage Day Festival with a $500 sponsorship, celebrating a tradition that brings together families, neighbors, and visitors in the heart of downtown Attalla. With live music, food and craft vendors, a kids zone, and more—all free to attend—the festival highlights the strong community spirit and Southern hospitality that Meridian Waste is honored to be part of.

Meridian Waste Alabama has acquired Tate Services, expanding its roll-off collection footprint in Huntsville and adding portable toilet and storage container rentals to its offerings. The acquisition strengthens Meridian’s service capabilities, enhances operational efficiency, and retains all 51 Tate Services employees at the Huntsville facility.

Meridian Waste proudly celebrated the creativity of Rae W. and Julienne G., winners of our recent Coloring Contest, whose artwork showcased the spirit of sustainability. This past Saturday, we proudly served as the Big Rig Sponsor at Touch-a-Truck in Christiansburg, VA, joining families for a day filled with excitement, hands-on fun, and community connection. From our colorful handprint dumpster to a lively dunk tank fundraiser, every moment supported local education and celebrated the spirit of giving back. We're honored to have been part of such a meaningful event, helping inspire the next generation of skilled tradespeople.
