Meridian Waste announced the successful asset acquisition of A&A Construction Waste Removal, LLC (A&A), a Sevierville, Tennessee-based provider of roll-off collection services. The transaction officially closed on May 1, 2026.

The acquired assets include roll-off trucks, containers, and customer contracts. Meridian Waste has assumed operations at A&A’s existing facility located at 1437 Catlettsburg Road, Sevierville, TN 37876. The company will retain the current workforce and continue operations alongside the former owner, Gene Atchley, to ensure a seamless transition for customers and the community.

This strategic acquisition expands Meridian Waste’s hauling footprint across Eastern Tennessee and enhances its ability to internalize waste volumes at its Knox County Poplar View Construction & Demolition (C&D) landfill, further strengthening operational efficiencies and environmental control.

“This acquisition represents another important step in our continued growth strategy across Eastern Tennessee,” said Wally Hall, CEO of Meridian Waste. “We are excited to welcome the A&A team to Meridian Waste and build upon their strong local reputation. By integrating these assets into our existing operations, we are able to provide enhanced service capabilities to our customers while increasing internalization to our Poplar View C&D landfill. It’s a win-win for our customers, our employees, and the communities we serve.”

The addition of A&A Construction Waste Removal marks Meridian Waste’s 38th acquisition since partnering with Warren Equity Partners in April 2018, underscoring the company’s commitment to strategic growth and market expansion.

Meridian Waste continues to actively pursue acquisition opportunities that align with its mission to provide safe, reliable, and environmentally responsible waste management solutions across its growing Southeast regional footprint.
