Meridian Waste Acquires Tin Cans, LLC Increasing Market Presence in the North Carolina Triad Region

Meridian Waste North Carolina LLC has announced a second Q2 2024 acquisition located in the Triad region of North Carolina with the asset purchase of Tin Cans, LLC, effective today. The asset purchase includes roll off collection vehicles, containers, and contracts located in Wake, Johnston, Harnett, Lee, Durham, Moore, Sampson, Orange, Hoke, Chatham and Cumberland counties in North Carolina. The assets and services will be relocated from Lillington, NC to Meridian Waste’s existing hauling company at 13415 US-421 North in Goldston, NC. Operational staff will transition to Meridian Waste.

“The Tin Cans acquisition follows the purchase of Carolina Waste allowing Meridian Waste to grow at a strong pace throughout the Triad counties of North Carolina,” stated Patrick Messinger, Area President in North Carolina. “The central corridor of the state is seeing incredible expansion in manufacturing, commercial and residential construction, and operations. Additionally, it’s important to our vertically integrated growth strategy to be a part of this economic engine from ground breaking to full operations by providing a full spectrum of environmental services for our customers,” he said. “Meridian Waste will provide construction and demolition (C&D) collection and disposal, portable toilet rentals and permanent waste and recycling for all different sizes and types of businesses and residential units.
