Meridian Waste is proud to serve Virginia Tech! Keeping the campus clean, especially after tailgating and football games, is the goal for the Blue Ridge team led by General Manager Ashleigh Garnes. After winning the entire service contract in 2021, Garnes has led several initiatives to help provide solutions to the campus. Along with her team, she has
Established services at the Virginia Tech campus in waste removal and in implementing recycling programs.
Created initiatives involving Virginia Tech Greek Student Life fraternities and sororities in the campus Center Street and overall campus cleanup program after tailgates and other social events.
