Meridian Waste Announces Winners of 7th Annual Brightening the World Earth Day Coloring Contest
Charlotte, NC (April 22, 2026) – Meridian Waste, an integrated, non-hazardous solid waste services company, is pleased to announce the winners of its 7th Annual Brightening the World Earth Day Coloring Contest. The nationwide contest invited children ages three to 10 from across the United States to showcase their creativity while celebrating environmental awareness and Earth Day.
This year’s contest saw strong participation from families across the country, with 995 submissions reflecting creativity, imagination, and thoughtful interpretations of caring for the planet. Winners were selected across three age categories.
Ages 3–4:

Ages 5–7:
First place: Pulkit K., Age 7, Mountain House, California

Ages 8–10:
First place: Yara A., Age 10, Conway, South Carolina
Second place: Quinn D., Age 10, Ponte Vedra, Florida
Third place: Ariana G., Age 10, Jacksonville, Florida
