MILTON, GA / ACCESSWIRE / September 9, 2015 / Meridian Waste Solutions, Inc. (OTCQB: MRDN) ("Meridian") is focused on building a regional solid waste company from Missouri to Georgia. As part of the focus of the Company, MRDN has and continues to build its revenue base with municipal contracts providing solid waste hauling services for residential customers. Today, Meridian Waste Solutions, Inc. would like to announce the private mobile app company, Mobile Science Technologies, Inc ("MSTI"), which MRDN has an investment in, has recently signed its first municipal customer. Together with MSTI, MRDN can offer a suite of products (mobile apps) to its municipal customers as part of the value proposition and solution for its residents.

In early 2015, MRDN spun its mobile app company into a private company, Mobile Science Technologies, Inc. At the time of the spin-off, MRDN retained a 15% investment in the company that focused on building mobile apps for municipalities, its public works, administration and law enforcement departments, as well as the residents of their communities. MSTI is excited to announce it is in the process of on-boarding its first municipal client. The municipality is roughly a 30,000 resident southeastern municipality who is excited to launch the Bright City platform of mobile apps (www.brightcityapps.com). MSTI has a pipeline of 5 municipalities they are working with to extend the municipal governments and residential community using Bright City to over 100,000.

Bright City apps provide dedicated communication between residents and the appropriate departments within municipalities for specific functions such as home watch, business watch, citizen alert, city maintenance, city connects and property lock box. The suite of mobile apps for residents will be available to download on all mobile platforms. In order for residents to experience the suite of Bright City apps, their municipality must sign up to use the Agency App provided by Bright City (MSTI).

"Unlike social media, the goal of Bright City is to provide dedicated tools that offer unparalleled and efficient communication to and from residents with their municipal officials through the use of white labeled mobile apps. MSTI believes the use of Bright City apps will enhance community involvement and reduce tensions in major cities and small towns across the country because of its natural ability to provide a dedicated resource to its residents without cluttering it with a social forum. In some cases, the social forum creates opportunity for miscommunication between its public officials and the various services and information they are trying to disseminate. Whether it is law enforcement, public works, city administration or simply organizing these departments, too many people offering up more opinions, whether they are factual or not, creates a burden for others to find the needed information," said Jeff S. Cosman, the founder of MSTI. "The Company believes the United States is a leader in technology and employing powerful tools like Bright City in our cities and towns will Make America Great Again."
