Garbage Pickup
Container: Meridian Waste provided 96-gallon cart. All items must be in the cart.
Quantity: One
Frequency: Once per week
Materials Accepted:
Containerized, non-hazardous municipal solid waste
Weight Limits: 60 lbs.
Additional 96-gallon carts available for rent
Recycling
Container: Meridian Waste provided 64-gallon cart
Quantity: One recycling cart
Frequency: Once per week
Materials Accepted:
Plastics (label #s 1, 2, 3, 5, and 7); aluminum and steel cans; mixed paper (newspaper, magazines, junk mail, office paper, etc.); tissue boxes, cereal boxes, and other clean fiberboard items; and corrugated cardboard (flattened).
NO plastic bags, plastic films, or construction materials. Do NOT bag recyclable materials.
Bulk Waste Pickup
Frequency: One item per month at no cost and must be scheduled in advance. Additional items are $30 per item. Call Customer Care to schedule at (314) 291-3131.
Materials Accepted:
Large items like toilets, sinks, mattresses, carpet, furniture, large toys, bicycles, stoves, washers, dryers, refrigerators, and other similar items.
Ability for two (2) people to lift.
Explosion Danger!
Lithium-ion batteries (the kind in cell phones, laptops, tablets) easily catch fire or explode when crushed, even if they're “dead”!
NEVER put them in the Garbage OR Recycling.
