Shotwell Environmental Park Lights Up the Night

Annually, Meridian Waste’s Shotwell Environmental Park becomes more than just a vital infrastructure asset providing environmentally-safe recycling & disposal services for construction debris. At Christmas time, the landfill transforms its entrance and vegetated berm along Smithfield Road into a festivity of lights! Nothing says welcome Christmas more than beautiful lights lighting up the way home for so many Wake and Johnston County residents who pass by the Shotwell Environmental Park on a regular basis.

Here at Meridian Waste, we believe that all our facilities shine in their own special way protecting Mother Earth and taking care of the waste that we all create. But at Christmas, it’s our gift to the community to shine just a little BRIGHTER!
