On Friday, September 15th, Kimberly Sulecki, the director of E. M. Holt Elementary School’s Backpack Program, extended a warm welcome to Meridian Waste and expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the food donation, emphasizing how much it means to the program and the children it serves.

EM Holts Elementary School is located approximately 3 miles from Tri-Corners Landfill (formerly know as Coble’s Sandrock).  The school feeds approximately 50 children who’s only hot meal will be the one received while in school.  The school’s Backpack Program sends these students home with backpacks fill with food to help subsidize their meal program after school and on weekends.

The food donation was coordinated by Jenny Gum and Deanna Coble and was delivered by Meridian Waste’s Area President Patrick Messinger (far right), Kent Coble, former owner of Coble’s Sandrock (middle next to Kimberly Sulecki) and Tri-Corners Landfill Manager Josh Gustaf (far left).
