City of Eureka, Missouri

The following services, guidelines, and resource links are available specifically for the residents of the City of Eureka.

Set Out Time: PLACE CARTS CURBSIDE THE NIGHT BEFORE OR NO LATER THAN 6:00 AM ON YOUR COLLECTION DAY.

Garbage Pickup

Container: One 95-Gallon Cart - included in service. Additional trash carts including weekly service are available to rent for an additional $5.00 per month for each additional cart.

Quantity: One (1) Cart. Only the contents within the trash cart are collected; no materials left outside the cart will be collected.

Frequency: Once per week

Materials Accepted: Non-hazardous municipal solid waste.

Weight Limits: 60 lbs.

All materials must be INSIDE the cart; Please bag waste before placing it in the cart.

Recycling

Container: 65-gallon Meridian Waste cart. Additional recycle carts including weekly service are available to rent for an additional $5.00 per month for each additional cart.

Quantity: One (1) single-stream recycling cart.

Frequency: Once per week

Materials Accepted:

Only the contents within the recycling cart are collected; no materials left outside the cart will be collected. Plastics labeled #s 1, 2, 3, and 5; glass, aluminum, tin, and steel cans; corrugated cardboard (flattened); and mixed paper.

Additional Carts: Extra 65-gallon carts including weekly service are available for rental, at a rate of $5 per cart per month.

ITEMS MUST BE CLEAN, with non-paper items rinsed and labels removed. NO plastic bags, plastic films, or construction materials.

Yard Waste Pickup

Container: All yard waste materials must be contained within the cart, in customer provided paper lawn/leaf bags, or secured in bundles with twine. No overflowing carts — cart lids must be fully closed.

Quantity: A combined total of twenty (20) lawn/leaf bags or yard waste bundles, as well as the contents of one cart (lid must fully shut).

Frequency: Once per week

Materials Accepted: Leaves, grass, limbs, and branches. Limbs and branches must be securely bundled with twine, less than six (6) inches in diameter and less than four (4) feet in length. Bundles should be less than 18 inches in diameter and must NOT weigh more than 60 lbs.

Weight Limits: 60 lbs. total

Requirements for Customer-Provided Cart:

Carts: Rent a 95-gallon cart including weekly service from Meridian Waste ($5 per month per cart).

Obtain an official Yard Waste cart decal from Meridian Waste to clearly relabel and repurpose your old Eureka recycling cart for yard waste service only. For details, call: (314) 291–3131.

Bulk Waste Pickup

Quantity: Residents are permitted up to two (2) bulky items per week, to be picked up on your regular service day. Additional items are $30 per item.

Materials Accepted: Including but not limited to: Bicycles, BBQ grills, cabinets, vanity tops and bases, carpet (rolled into strips no wider than 4 feet), sofas, sectionals, mattresses, box springs, tables, chairs, other miscellaneous furniture, televisions, doors (cut in half), etc.

Weight Limits: Safe for two people to lift.

Collection of ALL bulky items MUST be scheduled in advance by calling (314) 291–3131. Any material that is not properly contained, bundled, packaged, or is too large/heavy for two people to lift and move will NOT BE COLLECTED.

White Goods / Appliance Pickup

Quantity: Residents are permitted one (1) white good item or appliance per month. All collections MUST be scheduled in advance by calling (314) 291–3131. Fees may be applicable for additional items.

Weight Limits: Safe for two people to pick up.
