Meridian Waste: Winter Storm Service Information
Dear Meridian Waste Customer,
Winter Storm Fern—the first major winter storm of 2026—is making its way across the U.S. and may impact service in several Meridian Waste communities including Virginia. While we’re always up for a challenge, icy roads and winter weather are one thing we never take lightly.
Our top priority is the safety of our customers and our team members. Local Meridian Waste management teams will closely monitor weather and road conditions and make service decisions early next week based on what’s safest for everyone—no heroics required.
If your collection is delayed or temporarily interrupted, please know that we will be back on the road as soon as conditions allow. We ask residential customers to keep containers curbside until service resumes—your patience (and your bins) are appreciated.
To stay informed with the most accurate, real-time updates for your specific area, we strongly encourage you to sign up for Service Alerts. A valid email address and mobile phone number ensure we can reach you quickly if plans change: MeridianWaste.com/Service-Alert-SignUp
You may also visit your local facility page for posted service updates: MeridianWaste.com/Find-A-Facility
Thank you for your understanding as we navigate winter weather together. We truly appreciate the trust you place in Meridian Waste—and we promise to get back to normal service as soon as it’s safe to do so.
Stay warm, stay safe, and we’ll see you soon.
Sincerely,
Your Team at Meridian Waste
