Meridian Waste Sponsors Lauderdale County Community Clean-Up Day with West Lauderdale High School Students
Meridian Waste is proud to support the upcoming Lauderdale County Community Clean-Up in partnership with students from West Lauderdale High School’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) program.
The clean-up will take place on March 18, 2026, with approximately 200 participants, including students, Lauderdale County representatives, and Meridian Waste employees, working together to collect litter along roadways surrounding the Collinsville four-way intersection and the West Lauderdale High School area.
This initiative highlights the importance of environmental stewardship while giving students the opportunity to contribute directly to their local community. Meridian Waste will provide bottled water for volunteers during the clean-up, and a recognition lunch will be hosted for participating students and volunteers on March 19 at West Lauderdale High School.
The event was organized with support from Lauderdale County officials, including Daniel Mabry, Solid Waste Enforcement Officer, and Rush Mayatt, Road Manager, whose leadership helped coordinate the early stages of the cleanup effort.
Meridian Waste is honored to work alongside Lauderdale County officials, the Lauderdale County School District, and the students of West Lauderdale High School to help keep the community clean and beautiful.
