Meridian Waste Continues Support of Wake Tech Foundation and Workforce Education

Meridian Waste is proud to continue its annual support of Wake Technical Community College through the Meridian Waste Scholarship for Clean Communities, in partnership with the Wake Tech Foundation.

The annual $5,000 contribution supports students enrolled in Wake Tech’s Diesel and Heavy Equipment Technology program, helping provide the hands-on training needed for careers such as diesel mechanics and heavy equipment operators. These roles are critical to maintaining safe infrastructure, reliable service, and clean communities across Wake County and the greater Triangle region.

This ongoing partnership reflects Meridian Waste’s commitment to workforce development and to supporting educational programs that align with the needs of the environmental services industry. By investing in vocational and technical education, Meridian Waste is helping prepare the next generation of skilled professionals who will serve local communities for years to come.
