Huntsville, AL – May 1, 2025:  Meridian Waste Alabama, LLC (Meridian Waste), a non-hazardous, integrated solid waste services company, announces the asset acquisition of Waste Away Dumpster Service, LLC (Waste Away) effective today, May 1st.  The acquisition expands Meridian Waste’s operational footprint within the greater Huntsville marketplace, adding both commercial frontload and permanent and temporary roll off hauling routes to the company’s Alabama portfolio.  Additionally, Meridian Waste will assume Waste Away’s existing hauling facility located at 1220 Retail Drive, Huntsville, AL  35816, where the company will house the administrative and maintenance functions servicing both existing and the newly acquired commercial customers and accounts.

The Waste Away assets adds significant densification to Meridian Waste’s Huntsville commercial collection footprint including Madison, Limestone, Marshall and Morgan Counties.  Customers should experience no disruption in service and existing contact information remains valid with additional website communication options now available at www.MeridianWaste.com/HuntsvilleAL.  Additionally, the acquisition will generate greater internalization of non-hazardous waste volumes at Meridian Waste’s Noble Hill Landfill located in Etowah County, AL which was acquired September 2024 as part of the purchase of Evergreen Environmental Partner, LLC (EEP).

"This acquisition boosts our commercial presence in Alabama while maximizing internal efficiencies through our Noble Hill Landfill," said Walter “Wally” Hall, CEO of Meridian Waste. "It’s a smart, strategic use of capital that brings long-term revenue stability and operational synergies."

This will be Meridian Waste’s thirty-fourth acquisition since the company transitioned to private stock under the ownership of Warren Equity Partners (WEP) in April 2018.
