HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Sept. 2, 2025 — Meridian Waste Alabama, LLC (Meridian Waste), a non-hazardous, integrated solid waste services company, today announced the asset acquisition of Tate Services, Inc. (Tate Services), effective Sept. 1, 2025.

The acquisition expands Meridian Waste’s roll-off collection operations in the greater Huntsville market and adds two new service lines—portable toilets and temporary storage containers—to the company’s North Alabama portfolio. Meridian Waste will also assume Tate Services’ hauling facility at 378 Nick Fitcheard Road NW in Huntsville, where all 51 Tate Services employees will continue operating the company’s three lines of business.

The Tate Services acquisition will increase route density and internalization into Meridian Waste’s Noble Hill Landfill in Etowah County, while also broadening service offerings. Tate Services customers will now have access to front-load services already provided by Meridian Waste in the region, and existing Meridian Waste customers will benefit from the convenience of consolidated services through a single vendor partner.

Customers will experience no service disruptions, and existing contact information remains valid. Additional communication options are available at www.MeridianWaste.com/TateServicesAL.

“The addition of Tate Services to the Meridian Waste Alabama portfolio is a win across all fronts,” said Walter “Wally” Hall, CEO of Meridian Waste. “It enhances our financial margins, expands our service offerings, deepens our pool of available talent—including Tate Services owner Zach Tate and his entire team—and strengthens our presence in the dynamic Huntsville market, which has been an exciting growth area for Meridian Waste since we entered the region just one year ago.”

This marks Meridian Waste’s 35th acquisition since the company transitioned to private ownership under Warren Equity Partners in April 2018.
