At the heart of our operations are the men and women who keep the wheels turning—our dedicated truck drivers. During this year’s National Truck Driver Appreciation Week (NTDAW), we were proud to see one of our own, Ali Freeman, a Sales Representative from Meridian Waste – Goldston (NC) Hauling, go above and beyond to recognize and celebrate the critical role our drivers play.
Ali didn’t just offer kind words—she took action. This week, she personally cooked a homemade meal for our drivers and treated them to lunch on two separate days. These thoughtful gestures weren’t just about food—they were a heartfelt way of showing appreciation, respect, and gratitude for the hard work and sacrifices our drivers make every day.
From early mornings to long hauls, our drivers are the backbone of our operations, and Ali made sure they felt valued. Her efforts created a warm and welcoming atmosphere where drivers could take a well-deserved break, enjoy a good meal, and feel truly seen and appreciated.
Ali’s initiative has not only made a lasting impression this year—it has set the standard for how we celebrate National Truck Driver Appreciation Week moving forward. Her example has inspired our team, and we’re excited to carry that spirit into 2026 with company-wide celebrations that recognize all our drivers for their hard work, commitment, and dedication.
We’re grateful to Ali for stepping up in such a meaningful way during NTDAW. Her leadership, generosity, and genuine respect for the contributions of others exemplify the best of who we are as a company.
To all our truck drivers—thank you for everything you do. And to Ali—thank you for making sure they know just how much they’re appreciated.
