Recycling

Container: 96-gallon Meridian Waste cart.

Frequency: Collected every other week on FRIDAY. Service is included, but you can choose to opt out.

Materials Accepted:

Plastic (Label #s 1, 2, 3, 5, and 7); aluminum and tin cans; mixed paper, glass.

Instructions:

All recyclable materials must be INSIDE the cart, except for bundled newspapers or corrugated cardboard, which may be placed next to the cart.

Please DO NOT bag recyclables (plastic bags ruin the recycling process of other materials).

Explosion Danger!

Lithium-ion batteries (the kind in cell phones, laptops, tablets) easily catch fire or explode when crushed, even if they're “dead”!

NEVER put them in the Garbage OR Recycling.

How to Place Carts Curbside

Close cart lid, point handle away from street, place on edge of street. Keep cart 3 feet away from all objects.
