Garbage Pickup

Container: 95-Gallon Cart - included in service

Quantity: 1

Frequency: Once per week

Materials Accepted: Non-hazardous municipal solid waste; Food scraps and food packaging; Clothing; Compost; Bottles, cans, newspapers & magazines; Glass.

Weight Limits: Garbage items cannot exceed two (2) ft. by two (2) ft. by four (4) ft. in size, and cannot be in excess of fifty (50) lb. in weight.

Any items placed outside the cart will NOT be collected. Extra carts may be requested for an additional monthly fee. Garbage will NOT be collected from recycling bins.

Recycling

Container: 18-gallon bin

Quantity: 1 bin

Frequency: Weekly

Materials Accepted:

All materials must be clean and dry. Glass: Clear, green, and brown. Plastics #s 1 (PET) and 2 (HDPE). Food and beverage containers, cleaning solution bottles. Metal: Steel food trays, aluminum cans, aluminum baking pans. Corrugated Cardboard: Flattened; pieces no larger than 2 ft x 3 ft. Cartons: Juice boxes, milk, and soup cartons. Mixed Paper: Newspapers, magazines, office & school paper, phonebooks and paperbacks, paper bags, fiberboard boxes

All materials must be clean and dry. All recyclable materials must be INSIDE the bin, except for bundled newspapers or corrugated cardboard, which may be placed next to or under the bin. Please DO NOT bag recyclables (plastic bags ruin the recycling process of other materials).

Large Items and White Goods/Appliances

Quantity: Up to 3 items per week collected at no charge. Cost per each additional item.

Collection Arrangements: Collection must be scheduled in advance. Call (912) 510–6881 to arrange pick-up.

Materials Accepted: Non-hazardous household objects too large to fit within the cart, such as furniture, mattresses, and large household furnishings.

Weight Limits: Safe for two people to pick up.

NOT INCLUDED: Items associated with construction, remodeling, demolition, and trimmings, as well as items designated as hazardous waste by County or State agencies.
