Place cart curbside the night before your collection day.

Garbage Pickup

Container: 96-gallon cart included with subscription

Frequency: Collected weekly on Wednesday

Materials Accepted: Bagged & containerized non-hazardous municipal solid waste

Yard Waste Pickup

Frequency: Collection must be scheduled at least five (5) business days in advance by calling (434) 767-4095

Materials Accepted: Vegetative items that are no longer that 4 ft. in length and 4" inches in diameter.

Weight Limits: 50 lb. per bundle/bag.

Instructions:

Collection available for an additional fee. Please ask for details when scheduling.

All leaves and small debris MUST be bagged or containerized. Limbs meeting the size restrictions must be neatly stacked or tied.

NO tree trunks or stumps will be collected. NO commercially produced yard waste generated by a professional for hire contractor will be collected.

Bulk Waste Pickup

Frequency: Collection must be scheduled at least five (5) business days in advance by calling (434) 767-4095

Materials Accepted: Large items like sofas, chairs, washers, dryers, toilets, sinks, mattresses, carpet, fencing, etc.

Weight Limits: Safe for two people to lift.

Hazardous waste and any construction or demolition debris are NOT accepted.

Explosion Danger!

Lithium-ion batteries (the kind in cell phones, laptops, tablets) easily catch fire or explode when crushed, even if they're “dead”!

NEVER put them in the Garbage OR Recycling.
