Hours Of Operation

Meridian Waste’s Chilton County Transfer Station will be closed effective Wednesday, August 27, through early next week for construction and safety upgrades. Please refer to this page for updates.

Monday - Friday

7 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Meridian Waste Chilton will be open on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month.

8 a.m. - 12 p.m.

MSW Disposal

We safely dispose of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW), commonly known as trash or garbage, that consists of everyday items we discard, such as product packaging, furniture, clothing, bottles, paper and plastic items and food scraps.

Explosion Danger!

Lithium-ion batteries (the kind in cell phones, laptops, tablets) easily catch fire or explode when crushed, even if they're “dead”!

NEVER put them in the Garbage OR Recycling.
