A roll-off container (a type of dumpster) is a metal container used for the storage, transportation and disposal of certain solid waste materials, and is manufactured to easily mount on and unload from a specialized vehicle utilizing mechanical means.

Space needed for our 20 yd. or 30 yd. containers must exceed 22' length x 8' width x 4' height.

Non—hazardous household waste

• Paper and cardboard: newspapers, magazines, junk mail, office paper, paper bags, cereal/shoe boxes, paper egg cartons
• Plastics: clean/rinsed bottles and jugs (#1–#2), yogurt/sour cream tubs, clear takeout containers; plastic wrap and bags (often not curbside-recyclable but still non-hazardous)
• Glass: food and beverage bottles and jars (rinsed; caps removed)
• Metals: aluminum and steel/tin cans, clean foil, metal lids; empty aerosol cans from non-hazardous products
• Organics: food scraps (fruit/veg peels, coffee grounds/filters, tea bags, eggshells), yard waste (leaves, grass clippings, small branches)
• Textiles: worn clothing, towels, linens (donate if reusable)
• Wood: small pieces of untreated wood, sawdust (bagged)
• Ceramics and broken dishes (typically trash, not recyclable)
• Foam items: Styrofoam blocks/trays, packing peanuts (non-hazardous but usually trash unless special drop-off)

• Concrete and masonry: concrete, cinder blocks, bricks, mortar, grout, tile, stone
• Asphalt: asphalt pavement, asphalt shingles, roofing felt/tar paper, ballast/gravel
• Wood: framing lumber, plywood/OSB, trim, pallets; treated wood (special handling)
• Drywall and plaster: gypsum wallboard/sheetrock, plaster and lath
• Metals: steel studs, rebar, aluminum, copper pipe/wire, gutters, metal roofing/flashing
• Glass and glazing: window glass, doors with glass, storefront glass

This special is $350 for one 20- or 30-yard container and up to two (2) tons of non-hazardous C&D debris disposal. Price include free delivery, and all environmental and fuel fees. Tonnage rates apply for weights greater than 2 tons.

Rental must be ordered by 3/31/2026 to secure this special rate in the greater Roanoke and New River Valley service area.

Yes. Weight limit defined by this offer is a maximum of 2 tons (4000 lbs) of waste materials (excludes weight of container).

Heavy and bulky waste should be loaded by opening and walking into the dumpster to deposit debris and empty a wheelbarrow. Lighter bagged debris and small items may be thrown over the side of the dumpster into the container.

Try to keep weight evenly distributed throughout the dumpster, and never fill a dumpster any higher than its side wall for safety purposes and to prevent flying debris.
