Job Title: Accounts Receivable Manager
Reports To: Assistant Corporate Controller
The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for managing a team of AR Coordinators (Billing, Collections and Cash Applications), ensuring the accurate invoicing of customers and proper application of payments received. A successful manager will also work to improve processes and implement policies to strengthen the company’s financial position. The incumbent will have an eye for detail along with excellent analytical skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise staff of 7-10 AR Coordinators, including ensuring the team meets deadlines, training and developing new staff, andcompleting other managerialduties (approving timesheets, OT and PTO)
Researches and resolves escalated questions and discrepancies regarding invoices and payments
Reviews various billing system reports to identify discrepancies. Suggest corrections as appropriate to ensure accurate billing.
Continuously monitors procedures and implements policies to improve the order-to-cash process
Oversees relationships/contracts with parties such as bank partners, credit card clearing agencies and third-party collections
Lead 3x per week company-wide collections update meeting, including preparing reports for discussion in each meeting
Follow and comply with all safety policies

Education/ and or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
Minimum 2 years’ experience supervising similar group, including interviewing, and hiring
A thorough knowledge and understanding of billing and cash applications transactions and processes as well as collections procedures
Advanced Excel knowledge
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong time and people management skills
Experience in the Solid Waste Industry preferred
