Important Changes to Recycling Service for Missouri customers

WHY:

Meridian Waste is proud to continue to be your environmental services provider. Unfortunately, a recycling crisis is sweeping the U.S. and frustratingly, it’s impacting the greater St. Louis marketplace. World market conditions and current contamination levels have forced many processors into an unsustainable model to continue operating as before.

Resource Management’s Earth City Materials Recovery Facility notified Meridian Waste that as of November 1, 2018, they will no longer accept single stream recyclables collected curbside from our residential customers. Read the letter here.

We know that this service change is frustrating. However, please know that recycling is a true cycle and requires viable buyers of non-contaminated processed materials to be a truly sustainable system.

To learn more about changes to recycling, and the Dual Stream recycling program with Meridian Waste, please watch our informative video by clicking here.

Please click on your city’s garbage guidelines link for specific changes and information about your recycling service.
